The Olson Family Legacy Jerry Wayne Olson literally cut his teeth in the entertainment industry. His grandfather trained the first American bison to be ridden and perform for a crowd. His father, Jerry Sr. also trained buffalo and developed a high-speed roman riding act where he stood astride two galloping black horses. As a young third-generation rodeo performer and cowboy, Jerry heard his first round of applause while streaking past open-mouthed spectators, perched high on his father's shoulders during the roman riding act. Jerry Wayne was just two years old. With two generations behind him, and 30 years of award-winning performances under his belt, Jerry can guarantee your audiences from coast to coast an authentic western experience they will not find anywhere else. |
| continued from above.... Texas Style Trick Roping. Jerry begins with the beautiful and relatively simple (you should try it!) maneuver called the butterfly, which many more complicated maneuvers are based upon. Soon, the tempo increases as he pops the whirling white lariat off his arms, over his head, and around his body so fast you do not have time to blink. The culmination of this performance is the most difficult lariat trick in the cowboy book. It is the famous Texas Skip. Jerry spins up a man-sized vertical loop spinning at a blinding 180 RPM. He eyes his loop, timing it with the music, and makes his leap through the spinning spoke of the loop and through it to the other side! Once is not enough for Jerry, so through the vertical loop he leaps, again and again. As the applause increases, so does the speed, until Jerry lets the rope fly and salutes your crowd. |

| We'll tell you about the acts, then we'll tell you about the man behind the acts... First, meet Classical Dude... Jerry Wayne Olson takes the horse whispering craze well beyond the round pen with his beautiful golden palomino horse. The bond of respect between horse and master leaves audiences spellbound as Jerry's deep, gentle voice asks Classical Dude (a.k.a. CD) to perform a variety of maneuvers without the aid of reins, ropes or lines. The respect is so complete, that CD willingly leaps into the bed of a pickup truck...first stationary, and then moving away from him. A show stopping performance! |

| And then there's Bucko--This Miniature Horse is No One-Trick Pony! Bucko, the adorable miniature horse, is a natural ham with a little a attitude thrown in for good measure. His performances are a witty blend of all of the "big horse" tricks perfected by generations of western horse trainers. Bucko "lays down on the job," fetches Jerry's hat, rears like a stallion and walks on his little hind legs, and more. Your audience will see Bucko go through his paces on the pedestal, and take a formal bow as his pint-sized attitude shines through. Kids and adults will laugh and enjoy this performance together, and learn the cowboy meaning of the saying "Dynamite Comes in Small Packages!" |
